Michael Thomas-Saints Payton’ meeting might calm things down

It seems that the fraught relationship between Michael Thomas, wide receiver, and the New Orleans Saints is on the verge of healing.

Via Charles Robinson, Yahoo Sports: Thomas and Saints head coach Sean Payton met recently to try and resolve some of the tensions that had arisen between them this offseason.

They had a great discussion about the issues. Robinson was told by a source. They both believed it was not necessary to expand on what is already available. Both sides were frustrated, and that was the point.

Thomas is currently recovering from an ankle injury that occurred last season but wasn’t until June.

Thomas was not able to have the surgery earlier so that he wouldn’t miss the first half of the season and would be back in full health. Thomas retorted with a social media posting indicating that the Saints were trying. His reputation could be damaged.
