Holiday Glögg
Ingredients ~
12 ounces SKYY Vodka
1 bottle of dry red wine (750 ml)
1-1/2 tablespoons mulling spice
1 teaspoon fresh orange zest
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons blanched almonds
4 tablespoons raisins
Preparation ~
Wrap mulling spice in cheesecloth. In a large saucepan, combine the wine, mulling spice pouch, orange zest and sugar. Allow to simmer lightly over medium heat for at least 30 minutes (do not boil). Discard the mulling spices, add the vodka, bring to a simmer and remove from the heat immediately. Drop a few raisins and almonds at the bottom of each mug, then ladle in the glögg. Makes 8 servings.
